Built in 1842 on the foundations of a mediaeval castle, it is among the most ancient Grand Hôtels in Switzerland. Its architecture, based on light wells, is unique in Switzerland and its views over Lake Geneva and the majestic Alps are so spectacular they inspired Ferdinand Hodler, the famous Swiss painter, to paint some of his remarkable masterpieces. This view is often referred to as a living painting where one immediately reaches a contemplative state of mind. Guests are also often surprised to realise how well and deep they are able to sleep.
The Puressens Spa houses a beautiful 24-metre indoor pool (where the foundations of the previous castle can still be seen), sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room and fitness centre with a private terrace. Thorough selection and training processes guarantee a high level of quality of its therapists.
Having a strong focus on wellbeing and relaxation, their spa treatment menu consists of a combination of face and body treatments and spa cures and days.
