What are AHAs & Fruit Enzymes?

α-Hydroxy acids, or alpha hydroxy acids, aka AHAs, are a group of organic carboxylic compounds that may be naturally occurring or synthetic. We use gentle organic AHAs and fruit enzymes derived from passion fruit, lemon, grape, pomegranate, pumpkin, papaya and pineapple.

How do AHAs & Fruit Enzymes benefit my skin?

AHAs actively unbind cells in the top layer of the skin, exfoliating dead skin cells and surface melanin to boost regeneration and skin smoothness.
This benefits the skin in a number of ways, helping to reduce the appearance of pigmentation and fine lines and wrinkles, illuminate the skin and help combat acne which often happens as a result of dead skin cells congesting pores. AHAs have also been proven to stimulate collagen production making skin appear firmer, whilst fruits enzymes also work to eliminate age spots and pigmentation in addition to improving the skin’s overall suppleness and boosting hydration.

Where to find them:

AHAs can be found in our Renaissance BrightLight and Renaissance Mask. Our Renaissance BrightLight contains 13 targeted skin correcting actives to help combat pigmentation and the different mechanisms of melanin production for a visibly brighter complexion and even skin tone. The luxuriously-textured Renaissance Mask refreshes the complexion through gentle exfoliation by unbinding dry skin cells, activating cellular renewal. It’s a great way to energise, revitalise and brighten the skin for an instant health & radiance boost.
