• 0.5% of Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate, a fourth-generation Retinoid, provides unrivalled skin health benefits, including wrinkle, dark spot and acne reduction. It is oil soluble so absorbs very quickly and the only retinoid apart from Tretinoin or Retinoid Acid that does not need to go through any metabolic changes before it can be effective. It binds directly onto the retinoid receptors of the skin cells. 0.5% is the maximum level allowed under EU legislation for cosmetic products.
• Pro-Vitamin D3, a naturally-occurring active essential for the synthesis of Vitamin D, supports skin health.
• Encapsulated Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, a super-charged, stable and oil-soluble, form of Vitamin C, penetrates deeply to visibly firm and brighten.
• Turmeric heightens skin radiance and tone.

• Who is it for?

All skin types and tones. We recommend a lower age limit of 28, unless treating acne, scaring or hyper-pigmentation.

Fragrance free.

• Directions for Use

Use in the evening as part of your skincare routine. Twist capsule and apply serum on treatment area, 2 or 3 evenings per week if new to retinol, or nightly if preferred. Follow with your preferred OSKIA moisturiser or oil. Reduce frequency if sensitivity occurs. Can be used after water-based serums, and before facial oils or moisturisers.

We recommend for those 28 years and above, unless treating acne, scaring or hyper-pigmentation.

NOTE: Do not use during pregnancy, lactation or with other retinol or retinoid treatments. Use sun protection during the day.

• HYDROXYPINACOLONE RETINOATE

Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (also known as HPR or Granactive Retinoid) is a 4th generation of retinoids - it is oil-soluble & quick absorbing. It is the only one, apart from Tretinion or Retinoid Acid, that does not need to go through any metabolic changes before it can be effective. It binds directly onto the retinoid receptors of the skin cells.

What does it do?
It inhibits collagen-destroying enzymes called matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs).
It boosts the skin’s own collagen synthesis (type I & III).
It stimulates natural moisturising factor glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and skin protein filaggrin.
It makes the epidermis thicker and compacts the outermost layer of the skin.
It reduces sebum production so great for spot-prone skin - though it is important to replenish the lipid barrier which is why we use hemi-squalane which is wonderful saturated, plant sourced, fat.
