UPDATED STATEMENT

In response to the recent events and the Black Lives Matter Movement, we recognise, accept and fully embrace how far we must go to improve as a business and we’re committed to ensuring our industry and business is a safe, equal and happy place for everyone. We hold ourselves fully accountable to the past, and to the promise of being a more diverse and sensitive company in all levels of employment, actions and messaging in the future. Our goal as a business is to make skincare products for everyone - to boost everyone's confidence and we promise to ensure that this message is clearly portrayed in all that we do, act and say.

COMPANY DEVELOPMENT

• Regular and ongoing training (including DEI) to ensure we are all sensitive to and accountable for systemic racism, inclusion and tokenism, and to provide an environment where everyone feels safe, equally valued, with a strong sense of inclusion and belonging, as well as to deepen our understanding of different cultures and multi-cultural communication.
• Prioritize inclusion and diversity in our recruitment process. We are a small team so this will take time and is dependent on how fast we grow. Our goal is to attract and hire an inclusive and multi-culturally sensitive, competent and happy team.
• To continue to make skincare products for everyone but ensure that this inclusive message is clearly portrayed in all that we say and do.
• We will continue to work with a wide range of charities and specifically those that support inclusiveness and anti-racism.
• We will use our platforms to amplify BIPOC voices and resources wherever we can, in working towards a more inclusive and diverse community.
• We will regularly share updates on our development and goals.

Amongst other charities we have supported over the years, we have donated to Black Lives Matter Global, Stop Hate UK, Native Women's Wilderness.

Pull Up For Change

In support of Sharon Chuter at Uoma Beauty, a brand we deeply respect in the industry, here is our statement for Pull Up For Change which reflects our employees as it stands today (3rd July 2020) and will be regularly updated as recruitment progresses. It does not include the two founders Georgie & George. We hold ourselves to full accountability to the promise of being a more diverse company. @pullupforchange
