Marine Mania

Globally we produce a staggering 300 million tons of plastic each year with 8 million tons of that ending up in our oceans. Not only is plastic killing our marine life, but new data suggests that it is also finding its way into the food chain.

We feel that those who manufacturer and create the demand should accept responsibility and make themselves part of the solution. So as a start we will cease to use plastic tubes and move over to tubes made from natural, sustainably-sourced sugarcane. This not only has a very low carbon footprint but is also 100% recyclable. The majority of our packaging has always been glass and we currently only use plastic tubes for three of our core products. We’re starting with our Perfect Cleanser and the rest will follow as soon as possible. Look out for the Sugarcane symbol on our packaging. Our eco-footprint is very important to us, we are sourcing actives from as close to home as possible, making sustainability at the core of our purchasing decisions, and evaluating all of our supply and production processes to take whatever steps we can to reduce that footprint. We’re not perfect, but our Perfect Cleanser just got cleaner and greener and as a business we’re doing the same.
